Cristie Thomas is the Executive Director of Marietta Main Street and as such, oversees all of Main Street's internal and external operations including events, marketing, programming, fundraising, and community outreach. Before joining Marietta Main Street, Cristie worked in Marietta College's Office of Civic Engagement, housed in the McDonough Leadership Center. There, Cristie oversaw leadership development programs, service-learning programs, and volunteer-based programs all aimed at connecting students with the local community.  Cristie owns a local business, has sat on a variety of local nonprofit boards and advisory groups, and has presented on social media, volunteer management, civic engagement, and conflict resolution at a wide-range of regional conferences. She has worked with a handful of local community groups facilitating the development of action plans to meet community needs, is a writer for local magazine Clutch MOV, and has traveled to over a dozen countries. Originally from Long Island, NY, Cristie moved to the Mid-Ohio Valley after earning her B.A. from Bucknell University and her M.A. from SIT Graduate Institute. When Cristie isn't in the Main Street HQ, you can find her wrangling her two toddlers, listening to the Hamilton soundtrack, or reading the latest Jodi Picoult novel.
